AN insurance broker in Colchester has expanded following the acquisition of another firm in the city.
James & Lindsay Ltd, in Shrub End Road, has acquired Clifford Brown & Grimsey, in St Peter’s Street.
The takeover came into effect on April 1 and James & Lindsay Ltd has now welcomed Clifford Brown & Grimsey employees into its Shrub End Road offices.
Martin Claydon, director at James & Lindsay, said: “I am delighted Clifford Brown & Grimsey have become part of the James & Lindsay brand and I welcome their team and the expertise they bring with them.
“It is particularly pleasing to see our brokerage continuing to grow and expand its operation.
“With more than 90 years in the insurance business, we can provide customers with both experience and expertise over a wider area.
“This growth in our business also means that we have the potential to provide further employment in the future.”
The expansion comes after James & Lindsay Ltd was named as the winner of the Broker of the Year award at the Bravo Networks National Conference back in February.
