A PRANKSTER got his friend into a sticky situation after covering his car in hundreds of yellow post-it notes.

Joe Davis decided to plaster his friend’s black BMW in post-it notes, with the with the word ‘Soz’ - short for sorry - stamped in sticky notes on the left side of the vehicle for all to see.

Joe, who lives in Colchester, said the stunt was a harmless prank to wind-up his good friend Jesse Kennard.

Gazette:

Joe said: “It all started with a few little things we used to do to each other as a wind-up which never went any further.”

The 22-year-old said he was on a date on Wednesday night and the couple got talking about ways he and Jesse used to prank each other.

He added: “I said to this girl I was on a date with I’ve always wanted to sticky note my mate’s whole car and she thought it was a brilliant idea.

“So we left our meal and the pair of us sticky noted his whole car while he was having meal with his girlfriend as it was her birthday.”

Joe said he and his date used about 800 post-it notes to cover the car before Jesse and his girlfriend returned home in her car.

Jesse’s BMW was parked in Harwich Road, Colchester, and his dumbfounded reaction was caught on camera by a giggling Joe.

Although Jesse appeared to see the funny side, Joe believes he may now be in line to be the recipient of a prank in the near future.

The notes remained stuck all over the car during the night, and they did not go unnoticed by residents or police officers the following day.

Deborah Stubbington, a Colchester resident, saw the car on the way to her office.

She said: “I saw it on my way to office and literally laughed so hard.

“When I got to office my friend had also seen it and we laughed about it for ages.”

Officers from Colchester’s policing team also came across the car while on patrol and could not resist taking a picture of the prank to share on their social media.
