A CREATIVE schoolgirl’s has won a shed design competition.

Homebase in St Andrews Avenue, Colchester, ran the competition, pitting Friars Grove Primary and Kendall Primary against each other.

Designs including Minions, a London Bus, a VW camper van and even a Narnia-themed shed.

The winner was eight-year-old Friars Grove pupil, Kasey Biffen, who came up with a jungle theme.

Her design was brought to life by Homebase employee Jade Jeakins who spent four days painting the shed.

Ashley Britton, garden centre team leader, said: “The shed is on display at the front of the store until the end of the summer holidays when we will be donating the shed to the school.

“All entries are also on display in the foyer of the store.”

Kasey won £50 in Argos vouchers and runner-up Gil Nicholson, from Kendall Primary School, received £10 in Argos vouchers.
