The family of a missing man took to one of the world’s biggest music festivals to spread the word of his disappearance.

Chris May’s sister, Charlene May, 30, travelled 190 miles to Glastonbury last Sunday with her dad, Peter, and three friends, to hand out leaflets and t-shirts with Chris’s face on to some of the quarter of a million festival-goers.

Chris, 28, of St Mary’s Road in Kelvedon, went missing on May 25 and his silver VW Golf was found abandoned near woodland in Fairstead two days later.

Essex Police helped the family gain entry to the festival to walk around for 10 hours leafleting.

Charlene said: "We thought, there’s so many thousands of people up there and it would be good to get the message to people from different areas.

"It has been so long and we don’t want anyone to forget about him - we just want to hear he is okay.

"We are getting a few hours sleep a night but as soon as you are up in the morning, it’s non-stop."
