YOUNG people are being encouraged to improve their job skills through council podcasts.
North Lanarkshire Council is one of the first local authorities to use the downloadable video files to offer learning and job-hunting tips.
From next month anyone visiting a North Lanarkshire Library can download the video files on to computers, or transfer them onto MP3 players.
The service is aimed at young people aged between 16 and 25, and includes guidance on completing application forms and CVs, and learning bytes to support those taking qualifications.
Councillor Jim Logue, convener of the community services committee, said: "This is a powerful and innovative way of engaging with young people to encourage participation in lifelong learning and to improve employability and job-seeking skills."
