COLCHESTER’S newest restaurant has opened.
Love Thy Burger, in the High Street, opened on Friday night.
Adem Lacin, 25, and his father Murteza, 52, are running the restaurant.
Adem said: “The opening weekend went really well. It was really busy. It was manic.
“We’ve had really good feedback. A lot of people were coming up to the counter and saying how good it was and saying they had never had anything like it.
“They seemed to like the fact we were independent.”
The restaurant has taken on five members of staff, and plans to double this when business gets going.
It is open until 9pm on weekdays, 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 10pm on Sunday.
