PRE-SCHOOL children had the chance to try on traditional African outfits and play African instruments during a visit from some special guests.
Youngsters and staff at Cheeky Monkeys nursery, in WilliamHarris Way, Colchester, spent the week with three Nigerian women who travelled to the UK to see how English nurseries were run.
On Thursday, the women came in dressed in traditional costume and ran workshops with the children.
Youngsters had the chance to play African drums and make bracelets, as well as handle some of the equipment used in Nigerian schools.
Assistant manager Sophie Bright said: “They had a really nice time and did loads of things. It gave them an insight into another culture.”
