Campaigners after hearing of initial plans to close the toilets
PUBLIC toilets in West Mersea will remain open.
An agreement has been reached to save the toilet blocks in in Fairhaven, Coast Road and High Street.
West Mersea Town Council will take over the running of the toilets.
Mayor Peter Clements said: "We look forward to working with Colchester Council and other partners to get on with the job of developing and improving public conveniences for West Mersea residents and visitors."
