A TEENAGER from Harwich has been charged with assaulting two police officers with intent to resist arrest.
The 17-year-old has also been charged with one count of obstructing a police officer following an incident in Dovercourt at around 2.45pm on Friday.
The officers were injured as they went to arrest a suspect at a property in Station Road.
This was in connection with an aggravated burglary that took place earlier in the week.
The 17-year-old will appear before Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The teenager and an 18-year-old man, also from Harwich, have been bailed pending further enquiries until December 22, in relation to the aggravated burglary.
Another 34-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, October 23, but was taken to hospital for treatment for a suspected broken ankle, where he remains.
