11-YEAR-OLD Thomas Bellinger is already making waves at Microsoft.
The Gilberd School pupil created two dictionary apps which the tech giant has added to its list of add-ons for its Office programme on the Windows phone.
It means when millions of people around the world look up a word using a Microsoft programme, they could be using Thomas’s apps.
In return, the company have sent him licence keys for Microsoft Office, worth about £100.
Modest Thomas, who lives in Turner Rise, in Colchester, said: “I just thought I would submit these two pretty rubbish apps and see what happened.
“I didn’t expect them to come back with anything.”
He developed the apps through Microsoft Dreamspark, which allows aspiring programmers to develop apps or other tools.
The Gilberd School, in Brinkley Lane, is a registered school, which gives all pupils there free access to the site.
