COLCHESTER Council is selling off several assets to pay debts and raise money for projects.
The council owes £137.8m.
Last year it received money for land and properties sold in Axial Way and other land north of the A12, which was sold to developers.
It was also paid for the sale of Tymperleys, Joyce Brook House and Abbeygate House.
In total these raised £7.4m.
The council also sold £1.7m worth of council houses.
This year the council hopes to receive money from the sale of part of the Gosbecks Depot, more land north of the A12, the former tourist information centre, homes in Military and Winnock Road and Gothic House in Wivenhoe.
