A DISABLED woman who is unable to leave her home without her carers is appealing for help to fund a new electric wheelchair.
Simone Haughey, 47, was born with Cystic Fibrosis and became confined to a wheelchair in her early thirties.
She is now dependant on carers to take her outside as she lives at the top of a steep hill, near Hythe Hill, Colchester, which she cannot manage in her manual wheelchair.
She now only leaves the house twice a week.
She does not have enough money to buy an electric wheelchair, which she says will give her back her independence.
