TRIBUTES have been paid to a community stalwart who died after a crash at a notorious accident blackspot on the A120.
Ken Salmon, 90, was fatally injured after his Peugeot 206 was involved in a collision with a lorry on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened when Mr Salmon, from Dovercourt, joined the westbound carriageway from the Hare Green junction at around 4.30pm.
Mr Salmon, who was born in Rhondda Valley, Wales, was a founding member of Harwich Guild.
Guild chairman Ken Crawley paid tribute to Mr Salmon.
He said: βHe was such a pillar of the community. He would support everybody and it has come as such a shock.β
