AN amateur photographer is in the running for a podium finish in a national contest which could see one of his pictures make motorcycle history.

David Chubb, 42, who lives in Colchester, has been named among the finalists of motorbike insurer Carole Nash’s photo-biking contest, Moto Foto.

The dad of one, who works as a commercial manager, has entered his picture into the competition’s ‘static bike’ category.

If he wins, Mr Chubb’s photo could be featured in the insurer’s 2015 calendar, which is handed out to bikers at the Motorcycle Live Show, at the Birmingham NEC, in November.

He could also win £1,000 in cash as well as a state of the art camera, worth more than £1,000.

Mr Chubb said: “I'm really chuffed that my photo has been shortlisted and that it could make it into Carole Nash's 2015 calendar.

“Hopefully my entry can gather enough votes to be one of the winners, so I'm encouraging everyone who knows me or has a keen interest in motorcycling and photography to support me.”

Final votes are being counted winners will be notified next month.
