A solar energy company is set to be granted permission to install 100,000 more panels in the Colchester area.
Planning officers have recommended Push Energy is allowed to set up new solar farms in Birch and Langham.
Last month, Colchester Council’s planning committee went against officers’ recommendation for refusal, approving Push Energy’s application for an 83,000 panel site at Langenhoe Hall, in Langenhoe.
The committee will rule on the latest applications at a meeting on Thursday.
If approved, 26,400 panels will be installed at Birch Airfield, Birch, and 76,244 panels at Boxted Airfield, Langham Lane, Langham.
