TEN people were rescued by lifeboat crews after their motorboat became stuck in Walton Backwaters.

The boat became stuck after mud clogged its cooling system at about 9.10am on Tuesday.

Thames Coastguard said the vessel and its occupants were taken to Walton’s Titchmarsh Marina by Harwich lifeboat, where they were met by coastguards and given safety advice.
