A LITTLE girl whose life was saved thanks to a bone marrow donation from her baby brother is at home recovering.
Seren-Rose Davis, two, needed a transplant after being diagnosed with mucopolysaccharidosis, a rare condition caused by a lack of an enzyme.
It causes brain damage and learning difficulties, and meant she was unable to speak. The condition is eventually terminal.
Tests found her parents Elouise, 26, and Simon, 48, of West Mersea, were not matches, but her baby brother Jacob, now aged one, was.
The siblings had the operations in May, but Seren-Rose has just recently returned home.
