Emergency crews save man in diabetic coma stranded on an island
A MAN who fell into a diabetic coma was saved after lifeboat crews transported paramedics onto Mersea Island.
The island was again cut off by the highest tides of the year in the early hours yesterday.
THe 86-year-old was the latest of six who required emergency rescue by air and sea within 24 hours.
He was treated at 3.13am yesterday morning on Victoria Esplanade.
