A NEW discount superstore has opened in Clacton employing more than 20 people who were long term unemployed.
B&M opened its doors at Waterglade Retail Park in Old Road last week.
The company worked with local employment firm Ingeus to help get 23 people who had been out of work a long time into new jobs.
Store manager Tracy Shippam said: “The calibre of applicants was very high and we’ve recruited a talented and hard-working team.”
The site was previously used by DIY superstore Homebase, which closed earlier this year.
