A COLCHESTER crisp company is officially one of the best in the country.
Fairfields Farm Crisps, based in Wormingford, finished as runner-up at the Farm Produce Awards, which are run by the Great British Food magazine.
The firm beat off competition from hundreds of other British food producers.
Robert Strathern, Fairfields Farm Crisps founder, said: “We are really proud to add another accolade to our wall.
“The crisp market is hugely competitive, with so many high quality products on offer, to be named one of the best is a huge honour.”
The panel of high profile judges described Fairfields Farm Crisps as "very crunchy with good flavours that don't taste artificial”
The firm has won a number of awards since it launched in 2006.
