A TEENAGER arrested in connection with the murder of Nahid Al-Manea has been released without charge.
The 19-year-old from Colchester was picked up by police in the early hours of yesterday after a separate assault, in Peache Road, in the Hythe area of Colchester at about 10pm on Thursday.
Detectives questioned the teen overnight and this morning, an Essex Police spokesman said: “Police have finished interviewing a 19-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the murder of Nahid Al-manea and an assault allegation in Peache Road in Colchester.
“He has been released from police custody and no further action against him is planned in respect of either the murder or the assault as he has been eliminated from both enquiries.”
Tragic Nahid was stabbed 16 times during an attack in Salary Brook Trail.
The student, 31, of Woodrow Way, Colchester, was found fatally wounded at about 10.40am on Tuesday.
New CCTV shows Nahid walking past Hunwicke Road shops, in Greenstead, at about 10.20am.
