    Ross Carroll - good luck.

I can see one flaw in your plans, the Planning Dept of Colchester Council

You could purchase some brown rectangular shaped things and fill to assist your plans
No need for the Little brown envelopes anymore. They just call it "Community and Open Space Facilities Contribution". £35k should do it. 40 flats in phase 2 - How much will be affordable? Maybe another Contribution will be required for phase 2!!
All housing is affordable...just maybe not by us.

Remember developers do not build properties no one is going to buy!! Plus to create affordable housing they add the 'lack of profit' to the standard housing price..!!

    Making standard housing less affordable.

Sounds like 'making the rich poorer to make poor richer'!!"

Developer reveals how Colchester Odeon redevelopment will "rejuvenate" Crouch Street

First published in News

THE man behind plans to rejuvenate Colchester’s old Odeon cinema has insisted his is the only viable scheme.

Ross Carroll, of developer Amdev 101, last week applied for planning permission to convert the building into three shops and seven apartments.

Although the former cinema would be partly demolished, the Thirties Art Deco facade, which dominates Crouch Street, would be preserved. If the go-ahead is given, work could start as soon as this autumn.

Mr Carroll is also working on a second phase to the £14million project – building a four-storey block of 36 apartments on land behind the cinema.
