Eight people have been left homeless after a fire in Clacton.
Three fire crews were called to a blaze in a Beach Road home just after 2.20pm and are used breathing apparatus and three jets to put the blaze out.
The incident commander reported that the ground floor of the two storey property was heavily smoke logged.
Leading Firefighter Scott McLean said: "The fire was in a downstairs bedroom, this bedroom and the adjoining bedroom were completely destroyed; the rest of the house suffered extensive smoke damage as a result of the fire. "No one was hurt as a result of this fire, everyone was safely out by the time we arrived. "
An investigation is now underway into the cause of the fire.
