A third woman has today been arrested in connection with an assault at a Braintree care home after detectives examined the contents of a BBC Panorama programme.
The documentary, which was broadcast on April 30, highlighted the treatment of residents inside the Old Deanery Care Home, in Deanery Hill.
Today officers arrested a woman in her 50s at her home in the Braintree area on suspicion of assaulting a resident at the care home, before being released on police bail until the end of July pending further enquiries.
Earlier this month, two women aged in their 30s and 40s were arrested at their Braintree homes on suspicion of assault. They are also on police bail until the end of July pending further enquiries.
