DUTCH rider Marianne Vos has sprinted to victory in the inaugural Friends Life Women's Tour after winning the final stage of the race today.
Vos came first in three of the five stages of the race including Friday's leg, which finished in Clacton, and today's race, which started in Harwich and ended in Bury St Edmunds.
This gave her a 30 second lead on her closest competitors Emma Johansson and Rossella Ratto who came second and third respectively.
Hundreds of people lined the streets of Dovercourt to watch the riders as they left for the final leg of the tour, many of whom went on to take part in the Tour de Tendring straight afterwards.
