A MAN has been left with serious damage to his leg after falling from a building in Mistley.
The man, who is in his 40s, fell from a mezzanine this morning at around 11.20am.
A rapid response vehicle, ambulance and the air ambulance were called to the scene.
He was taken by ambulance to Broomfield Hospital for specialist treatment, although his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.21am to reports that a man, believed to be in his 40s, was injured following a fall from a height.
“A rapid response vehicle, an ambulance, and Essex Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
“Fortunately, having assessed the casualty, paramedics found that his injuries were not life-threatening, however, he did sustain serious damage to one of his legs.
"Due to the nature of the injury, he was taken by ambulance to Broomfield Hospital for specialist treatment."
