A FEASIBILITY study costing £15,000 will determine if speed bumps can be built on a town road.
Manningtree Town Council proposed the traffic calming measures should be installed in Brook Street in late 2012.
Now the Tendring Local Highways Panel has agreed to carry out a feasibility study and decide if bumps would slow speeding drivers.
Manningtree mayor Kerry King said: “Obviously they will be looking into and see if it is feasible and viable and to set all the criteria."
