CROOKS stole jewellery worth more than £1,000 from a Colchester home.

The incident occurred at a house in Shrub End, Road between 7.20am and 5pm last Friday.

Thieves smashed their way into the home through a glass panel in the front door, stealing necklaces, rings and brooches.

I live on shrub end road. Someone was knocking on my door at 7:30 this morning. Didn't ring the bell. Woke me and my dog up though not the rest of the house. Dog started barking. When I went down there was no one there.
