FIRE crews have battled a fire in a flat in Stanway.
Three engines were called to the property in Dale Close at around 5.40am on Saturday morning.
The property was 100 per cent alight and crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and one main jet to extinguish the fire by 6.30am.
A thermal image camera was then used to check for any remaining hotspots.
The fire service and police will now carry out an investigation to establish the cause of the fire.
