AN international music school in Dovercourt could be holding classes within two years if new plans are given the go ahead.

The owner of the former Harwich Magistrates’ Court intends to create a music school and one-bed caretakers apartment under new plans submitted to Tendring Council.

Original plans to change the courthouse, in Main Road, into a home before subsequently submitted plans for the school were rejected.

Neil Mc Killen, of Ickleton Planning Consultancy, acting on behalf of the owner said: “Once given permission the first classes could be held within 15 to 18 months from full occupation."
