A MAN banned from entering Colchester town centre has now been banned from entering Chelmsford City centre.
Paul Worboys, 47, was barred from enjoying the attractions and amenities on offer in Chelmsford following a police ASBO.
The man, of no fixed abode, was issued with an ASBO in 2007 and, in 2011, he was the subject of an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction (ASBI) which was made at Colchester County Court.
Following a pattern of anti-social behaviour in the county, officers in Chelmsford have now secured an ASBO on Worboys, which prohibits him from entering the city centre and its outskirts.
Neighbourhood Policing Sgt Alison O’Connor said: "It’s important we keep Chelmsford a safe and pleasant place to work and live in. People who visit with the intention of causing a nuisance and disrupting this atmosphere are not welcome.
"Paul Worboys fits into this criteria. We would urge people to contact us if they see him loitering in and around the city."
The ASBO was issued at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 15.
