A BABY boy is set to save his sister’s life by becoming her bone marrow donor.
Seren-Rose Davis, two, has been diagnosed with mucopolysaccharidosis, a condition caused by a lack of an enzyme.
She is among 150 or fewer children in the UK to suffer from the disease.
Even though she has the lowest level of the condition, it has caused brain damage and learning difficulties.
The family were told a bone marrow transplant could replace the missing enzyme and stop the condition.
Seren-Rose’s mum and dad, Elouise and Simon, were not matches.
But her little brother Jacob, who will turn one in June, was.
Mr Davis, 48, of West Mersea, said: “He will grow up knowing he saved his sister’s life."
