My Daughter and my two grandchildren of 7 & 4 Years old were in the their car when the lorry which overturned landed inches from their car.
My daughter & children were so scared that the lorry was going to fall on them, but thank God they were safe. My daughter was an eyewitness to the accident, and gave her statement to the Police, as did the driver of the car behind her, he too thought the lorry would fall on her car. She thought the lorry was coming round the roundabout too fast, and the lorry was leaning over, and just knew it was going to overturn. I agree that the layout of this roundabout has issues, but this accident was not due to this.
I am glad that the driver is unhurt, & my family, but I feel that the Braintree & Witham Times did not print the truth.
