Two men were taken to hospital after a two-car collision.
A red Renault Clio and a blue Ford Fiesta collided in Gosbecks Road, at the junction with Paxman Avenue, in Colchester, shortly after 8.45am this morning.
Police and two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were sent.
Paramedic Officer, Stuart Rhind, who attended the scene said: "We treated two men in their 20s, one suffering chest pain, another with neck pain.
"Both were taken to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment, thankfully their conditions weren't thought to be serious."
The road remained partially blocked for more than an hour while debris is removed.
