PUPILS whowill be the first to use a new £6million base for their school have been given a sneak peek.
Four Year 5 pupils at St John’s Green PrimarySchool, Colchester, wore hard hats for a tour of the school’s second base, in Abbeyfields, which has been under construction since last August.
The building, off Circular Road East, is now nearly watertight and the pupils got the chance to see how their new assembly hall is taking shape.
When it opens this September, the new modern classrooms will be used primarily by Reception and Years 1, 5 and 6 pupils.
