A MUM is calling for a law change after she was run down by a mobility scooter in a shop.
Julie Howman, 44, was shopping in Wilkinson’s in St John’s Street, Colchester, when a mobility scooter careered into the checkout and knocked her over.
Ms Howman, of Hawthorn Avenue, Colchester, says riders should have to take a test to use the scooters.
