FIFTEEN jobs have been saved after a new firm took over a troubled hotel chain.

Jupiter Hotels has announced it will manage the 50-bed Quality Hotel in Old Ipswich Road, Ardleigh.

Earlier this month administrators Zolfo Cooper were appointed to oversee the running of the three-star venue.

The news left some couples who planned to have weddings there, out of pocket and opting to book their big day elsewhere.

Zolfo Cooper confirmed it has sold six hotels, including the one in Ardleigh, to West Register (Property Investments) Limited.

Jupiter Hotels has been appointed to manage five of them, increasing the number of hotels it owns or runs in the UK to 31.

A spokesman said all weddings would be taking place as and when planned.

It is thought up to 14 couples had wedding functions booked at the hotel, which remained open while the administrators sorted out the finances.

The Quality Hotel in Ardleigh had previously been operated by Barinbrook Limited.

Jupiter Hotels has also taken over Quality Hotels in Bury St Edmunds, Peterborough, Kings Lynn, and the Clarion Collection Hotel Cromwell in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
