FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze at a home in Colchester.
Two crews from Colchester were called to a home in Drury Road at 11.50am this morning.
First officers on scene reported the ground floor was heavily smoke logged.
Firefighters wearing breathing equipment used two hose reels to extinguish the fire shortly before 12.20pm.
The cause of the blaze is not known.
