THE loved ones of soldiers injured in the Armed Forces were treated to a pamper day.

Women from the Band of Sisters, a branch of Help for Heroes, had manicures and makeovers at Chavasse VC House, in Colchester.

I really dislke the use of 'Heroes' in this case - and it's why I dislike 'Help for self-called heroes'.

Just because one gets injured in a conflict does not make one a hero - a physical hero is one who gets a medal.
