A man who absconded from a Suffolk prison and was thought to be on the run in Clacton is believed to have moved into west Essex.
Gary Edwards, 31, left the Hollesley Bay prison on Friday, February 14, where he was serving time for aggravated burglary.
He was present at the 9am roll-call, but was gone by midday.
Police in Essex and Suffolk believed he was in the Clacton area, but enquiries with his family and friends lead them to think he may now be in Harlow.
He is white, 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build with short brown hair.
He was wearing glasses.
Police have said the man should not be approached, and anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
