A TOTAL of 180 texts on the phone belonging to the exgirlfriend of a teenager accused of murder were deleted in the hours after the killing.
Colin Robinson, a phone analyst, checked Shannon Fenlon’s mobile as part of the investigation into the death of Jay Whiston.
Edward Redman is accused of stabbing Jay, 17, to death outside a house party in Marlowe Way, Colchester, on September 8, 2012.
Fenlon was Redman’s partner at the time and her mobile was one of 85 phones, iPhones and Blackberrys checked by experts.
Fenlon, of Jameson Road, Clacton, denies conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
