Whether it be jumping thousands of feet from a plane or shopping in a local supermarket, one man is guaranteed to be doing it wearing a kilt.

Gilles Cochez, 33, has been wearing the traditional Scottish garment since November 1 to raise money for a number of charities.

Each month he sets a fundraising target with the promise that he will don the Scottish kilt for the following month, and has so far raised more than £1,000.

The dad-of-two, of High Street, Rowhedge, said: “A lot of people ask about it, I haven’t had any bad reactions really, you do get people who look at you funny and I have had people saying ‘where are your bagpipes.’ “It has been a pretty good a lot of people have received it well.”
