PARENTS of a teenager killed in a car accident have unveiled a park bench tribute in his memory.
Patrick and Tracey Irvine, of Canterbury Road, Colchester, placed the red, steel bench in East Bay Park to commemorate the life their son Joshua.
The 18-year-old engineering student died when the Citroen Saxo he was a passenger in crashed into a council road sweeper in Bromley Road in November 2012.
Josh’s friends helped the family buy the £400 bench through a host of fundraising events including a sponsored run.
Mr Irvine said: “We just generally want to say a huge thank you to all those who have supported and still continue to support us through this difficult time."
