A VILLAGE pub could be re-opened as a convenience store.
Plans have been submitted to convert the King’s Arms in Elmstead Market into a Budgens mini-supermarket.
The pub, in Clacton Road, was the only pub in the village until it closed suddenly in September 2012.
Tendring Council has the final say on the plans and is set to make a decision by March 31.
