Jobhunter takes to the roadside in latest bid to find work

Do you have a job for Anthony?

DESPERATE jobhunter Anthony Greene took his search for work to the roadside yesterday.

Anthony’s man-with-a-van business went under in November, and he quickly exhausted all the usual ways of looking for work.

So yesterday he tried a new tactic.

He stood in the rain outside Severalls Business Park, Colchester, on the roundabout near the Crescent entrance during the morning rush hour, with a sign around his neck, which read: “Full-time job required. Willing to do anything.”

If you can help Anthony, call the Gazette on 01206 508432 or contact him directly on 07786 324493.

That's the way to do it. I'd bet you'd have a higher chance of getting a job this way than at the Job Centre!

The Job Centre should be reported under the Trades Description act as they do NOTHING to help you find a job and I was even told by an advisor when I was out of work that it's not their job to get you back into work, it is their job to sign you on. It is merely a Benefits Office where you go for 2 minutes every fortnight.

I was told the same, albeit a number of years ago now.
