A SAFE containing a coin dated 1482 and tickets to see pop star Taylor Swift were stolen in a Dovercourt burglary.
Thieves broke in to the home in Hordle Street, Dovercourt through a ground floor window between 1pm and 3pm on Friday, January 24.
They carried out an untidy search and stole a small, white safe – inside was a number of gold coins including a Krugerrand, sovereigns and half sovereigns, a coin dated 1482 with the words Alexander the Great on it, and some smaller gold coins.
Tickets to see Taylor Swift in concert at Wembley next month were also taken.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time or who is offered any of the stolen items for sale to call DC Andy Dodd at Clacton CID on 101 or contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
