RESIDENTS in Tendring will continue to get free parking permits for a third year in a bid to boost High Street trade.
Tendring Council’s cabinet agreed to the move at a meeting on Friday, January 24.
The scheme was first set up in 2012 to support shops and businesses and help to encourage people to shop local.
The permits go out to every council tax paying household and are valid for all council owned public car parks in the district apart from the Naze at Walton and Holland Haven from 11am every day.
It will now go before a meeting of the full council on February 11 as part of the overall council budget.
