DETECTIVES have appealed for information following a burglary at an elderly woman’s home in Clacton.
The break-in happened in Arnold Road at about 1.30pm yesterday.
The victim, who is in her 70s, was having bath when she heard a loud crash from downstairs. She dressed and went to investigate and saw a hand reaching through a smashed window.
She shouted and the two suspects ran off.
The woman told detectives one man was wearing dark clothing, glasses and had short hair. The second man had light brown or gingery hair in a ponytail.
Officers want to hear from anyone in the Uplands Road, Park Way, Coan Avenue, West Road or West Avenue areas who might have seen the men hanging around or running away.
They especially want to hear from any residents whose home CCTV cameras might have recorded the suspects.
Anyone with information should contact Det Con Andy Dodd at Clacton CID on 101.
