A WOMAN was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after a search operation was launched in Clacton.
Police launched a search following reports of a woman on the railway track in the town.
British Transport Police were called in to search the line, close to Burrs Road, shortly before 11.15am on Monday.
The Essex Police helicopter was also called in to help locate the woman.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “Trains were placed on caution whilst BTP and Essex Police officers carried out a search of the area.
“A woman was located at her home, in Clacton, around 12.50pm, where she was arrested for trespass.
“She has since been taken into a local police station, where she will be assessed.”
