No disrespect to them but apart from a few young girls this is of no importance, it's because of this poxy d list celeb crazed world that so many children are not reaching their potential. Then when they become adults we have huge unemployment as so many think most jobs are bellow them.

"Star" is a nice short word, ideal for headline writers. Remember that any young footballer who has come on a couple of times as an 88th-minute substitute qualifies as a "star" for the papers. The word has become meaningless.

There is two posts above here and that I agree with.
The problem you have here is that going to an audition after singing in the mirror for years with a hair brush elevates you in an instant to the wannabe hall of fame:
OK you are going to make about £50 to £100,000 out of it and thats a lot of money to a youngster starting out and good on you.
However as Bowie, Elton John and many others have said it is no substitute for doing the rounds and banging on A&R doors and being rejected left right and centre for years on end.
Those groups that go through hardship and severity gain the most longevity.
Where are they now ?????
steve brookstein (he was brilliant) shane ward - darius danesh - leon jackson - michelle mc manus - joe mc elderry - matt cardle - alexandra burke - rhydian roberts - little mix of mitz? - james arthur ????

Some of them were real talent, but they were over pumped on steroid produced arrangements for TV, that only fed the hype and media content of the TV show to enhance the ratings against the other side.

Who cares what D lister goes to the zoo. The press did not tell us the day Amy Childs and Kirk Norcross went there on the day they appeared to screen for TOWIE...now I would have certainly gone to see that Ive seen her before and Amy is a stunner!!!

Absolutely right, angryman. The PC brigade might try to tell us unemployment is caused by economic problems, but it's obviously caused by the X Factor making young people lazy.

'angryman' mad? You only have to look at him, to see he's as sane as I am. Bah.
